This is an assorted variety of small spears. I assume that most, if not all were used in fishing. The tips seem to be made from ivory where it is inset into a wooden shaft. I particularly like the bottom two spears. They have two sets of three-pronged barbed points. This is probably to better hold onto the fish once it has been speared. This type of technology is also found in Europe and around the Pacific Rim, among other places. St. Lawrence Islanders are known for the selling of artifacts found on their land. Where this may be cool in the fact that their artifacts get wide-spread, it is also a misfortune because their extraction of these items in this manner results in the lack of obtaining any contextual information from these objects. Some people take great offense to this, however, these items are the product of the St. Lawrence Islanders
